So this guy has been begging us to hit the slopes for the past month. With the move in November, the holidays in December and getting settled in January, we finally managed to agree to a ski day in February. While we were going to go a couple of weekends ago, we realized that Ema's boots didn't fit anymore and of course last weekend a doosy of snowstorm hit.
On Saturday, we finally had everything we needed to make a day of it! Newish boots and skis for Ema. Newish skis for Caleb--he had been using the last pair since he learned to ski when he was six. And nothing newish for Craig or I. Well maybe some newish food for lunch!
We had a great day! While the weather was a bit questionable at home--lots of fog and drizzle, by the time we headed up the mountain pass, the sun was shining and the temps were in the upper 30's to mid 40's. Lots of sunscreen needed to prevent blisters...a story I don't care to rehash thank you very much. Let's just say, I certainly didn't win the Mom-of-the-Year award on that ski day!
Ready to hit the slopes!
My Fab Fam!
What beauty!
I told you....I don't like the blues...green's for me please!
A break for lunch...
Of course the drive home meant we had to head back into the fog and drizzle.
By the time we reached the road that leads home we could only see a few feet ahead. It was a bit eery, but the memories we made were worth it!
