A Packer Fan

During the weekend storm, the kids were able to spend a lot of time making snowmen. The conditions were perfect. In fact, on Saturday I believe every other yard had a snowman or two decorating the lawn! As Craig and I were making muffins and hot cocoa for the kids, we noticed our neighbors had joined Ema and Caleb in building the perfect snowman. (Note: the one they built the day before had already fallen down and melted for the most part!) Much to our surprise Jen and Chris (our neighbors) had decked the snowman with a Green Bay Packers hat. We couldn't resist taking a photo and posting it in honor of the kids' Uncle Chris who lives in Montana. He is a HUGE Packers fan!

Ding Dong

The kids were playing outside when all of a sudden the door bell rings. Emaleigh is standing at the door and says, "I want to show you something!" I step outside in the freezing weather and this is what I see...a great snowman to decorate our yard.

Another Snow Day

I thought is was spring. I should have known when we had 60-70 degree days in February that our winter would last well into April. Today, Craig and I took the day off to enjoy some time together, and go on a field trip to Denver with Caleb. Of course, Mother Nature had a very different idea. It ended up being a snow day; although, I am not quite sure why since the snow didn't affect the roads until about 1:00 this afternoon. Regardless,we have enjoyed a relaxing day with both of our kids. The best part for them is Craig decided to let them watch the first Star Wars movie. Caleb is having a Star Wars themed party next week for his birthday, so we decided it was time to let him watch the movie. They enjoyed it very much. Especially the droids! Who doesn't love R2D2 and C3PO?! Caleb still loves the bad guys, but he was glad when the death star was destroyed! Kids...gotta love how they want to like the bad guy, but are overjoyed when the good guys win!

A New Look

This is the 2nd time Ema has given the gift of her hair to a company who makes wigs for cancer patients. The first time she was in 2nd grade. It took a little over two years, but she was able to grow it out long enough to do it again. What a wonderful gift to give someone. Ema you are our angel! And we love your new look!
